K/R: A Textured Red Blazer

With pockets!!!! Which are SO important on call!!!

I went to Zara with the intent of looking for Suz's fab kimono topper, but that was all sold out, so I was going to leave the store - but I had to check for my Holy Grail purchase that I haven't been able to find for a long time - a red blazer! And look what I found!

I am very excited by this blazer. I tried this on in a "small" although I usually am a "medium" at Zara. I felt like I was swimming in the larger size, but I quite like this one. The pockets are big enough for my iPhone and that dratted code pager I carry when I am on call so it doesn't weigh down my belt.

My sister commented how similar it was to my workhorse pink blazer - I hope that I can work this colour! Maybe?

K/R? Asymmetrical Leather Jacket

My sister and I went for coffee today and to return a few things to Anthropologie, and of course, I had to take a look at the clearance rack at Anthro and at Winners, right?

Look what I found! It's a buttery soft black leather jacket (which I have been dying for) and it is in MY SIZE. Legit my size. I even got to try one up and one down (different colours) and can say this is MY SIZE.

It can be worn three ways!! My sister calls #3 the "ninja way" :p I think it's very bad assy but not quite a moto jacket (which I also tried on, but my sister liked this one a lot better).

Bonus - it is a Soia and Kyo jacket, regular $560, but now only $100.

Is it a keeper?

WiW: Post Call Casual :)

Nothing really new here, except I am going to try to run errands with only a few hours of sleep!

Fiddling with Styles (Theory Dress; Part 2)

Versatile enough?  I am rather sorry for starting a new post, but my phone is being clubersome and only letting me attach three pictures to my initial post (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....hirt-dress)

1. Ah, my favorite - the cardigan! :) I think most cardis would work, even this tricky "longer length" one.

2. My attempt at a casual look. Ignore the flip flops - I will find real sandals one of these days!

3. How Anthro seems to style all their things - BELT! STATEMENT NECKLACE! (rofl)

K/R: Theory Sensa Shirt Dress

Finally has time for these pics! It's much too warm here!

I had initially posted about this dress as I was unfamiliar with the brand (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....eory-brand) and I guess, in theory (har har) it sounded like it was not a bad buy.

I just had some questions about the fit of it - is it puckering over my chest? There isn't a size up to try, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be shaped like this (haha, that's not very descriptive).

I find I am rather fond of the colour as it's not quite a black and it's not quite a navy (Theory calls it "eclipse") - which will hopefully make it more versatile.

I also think the length is satisfactory.

And there are pockets! :D

Please let me know K/R - it's rather a pricey purchase for me :)

ETA: I also thought I'd try to style it - sorry for starting a new post, but my phone is being clubersome and only letting me attach three pictures (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ess-part-2)

WiW: Do I Bookend With Black?

I have struggled with dark shoes for a long time and have always preferred nude or a brown tone.

Lately, I have tried to rethink this and am trying to make peace with both pencil skirts and flats, as well as the dark shoes.

Any suggestions?

WiW: A Favorite in Reverse

Does this dress look familiar?

A rather silly mistake on my part has this dress worn in a new way! I do quite love this look for it as well: the "front" has a pretty blouse feel with pleated details at the waist.

I could have pulled the self ties to the front instead of tucking them in, I suppose, but I thought the belt was a nice contrast.

:) two completely different looks for one dress? I think I like it!

WiW: Tempting Fate With Light Colours!

Yep, heading off to a barbecue with light colours in tow! :) I usually wear this dress with a dark belt, but I swapped that out for something lighter and hopefully more summery!! What do you think?

Any thoughts on shoes? Flip flops? :p

WiW: In Which I Wore A Hat

Super warm out today and no patients so a nice time to pull out the shorter length!!!

I don't usually wear this dress with a belt, but it looks a bit boring without, right? ;)

Quality of "Theory" Brand?

I found this very pretty dark navy/black dress at Winners (TJ Maxx) which is by the brand Theory - it seems very versatile and comes with a teeny tiny hole in a seam which I have already fixed - I want to have a pretty and versatile shirt dress, but I'm not willing to invest the big bucks until I get YLF okay that this is a reputable brand :)

I stuck on pics 1-3 so you can see the details; the colour is more like #4 though - I like the sleeves a lot, because I think it will make the dress more versatile! :)

And it has pockets! And hits me just above the knee, unlike these super tall models!

I love the "trench coat" vent at the back (5) - this dress + nude pumps makes me feel very Kate M :)

PS: It was on third markdown for $110 - it seems like Neiman Marcus was selling it for $275 in pink.
