WiW: In Which I Wore A Hat

Super warm out today and no patients so a nice time to pull out the shorter length!!!

I don't usually wear this dress with a belt, but it looks a bit boring without, right? ;)

I like it with the belt! Your hat is cute too.

Belted is nicer. I like the hat too.

    Gorgeous!

It looks great! I like the black belt, but I think it would look also look nice with a blue or a red belt.

It looks so cute with the belt and hat.  Are your shoes pale pink?

  • Astrid replied 10 years ago

I really like it with the belt, good decision. Love the hat!

Nice dress. Is it for work in the hospital, though? I get the no-patient days, but you may want to consider your overall work persona and what is your professional workwear goal. This particular outfit looks rather off-work and perky-youth-girl, so it depends on whom you're around and whether it carries over to other work situations in which you would "change hats". Can be a tough balance, I know.

ADORABLE with the hat and belt!

I enjoyed the belted look (also gives me a place to clip pagers and ID tags and other such things)!

@ Kristin - Ah, it is actually brown. I will try more colours next time :)

@ Avia - I think they have a pinkish hue, although they were supposed to be "nude" shoes for someone much paler than me :)

@ Unfrumpled - Thanks for looking out for me :) We have teaching days that are not in the main hospital and they are very relaxed and casual. The preceptors generally wear shorts and sandals in the summer, and my peers likewise.

You had me at Hat.  You look great Lyn and I like it with the belt a bit better but both looks are great.  If you wanted to add a hit of color, I think  red belt would be pretty.

Nice! I like it with and without the belt. I think it makes you look extra long, lean and uncluttered without it, but adding it is a nice touch as well. It almost gives the look of a different dress. Those pumps have been workhorses for you this year; they go with everything

Love this and belted is better!!!

Egad! This is a crisp and classy look. I adore the hat on you. I like the look best with the belt, definitely. Superb.

This is totes adorbs!  One of your best!

The hat looks good with the dress.  I don't think the dress is boring without the belt, but the belt gives it a different vibe that is more funky.

Boring? How do you dare saying it about this dress? ATM I am experiencing a severe wish to shop your closet! If you ever get tired of this one and want to pass it on, I am here to do an offer!

    Where did you get it?

I believe the hat add this sassy feeling to it and the belt is a nice touch, but I would happily sport both variations.

Love this dress!  Hat and belt FTW!

Fab. You look great in these little tailored dresses and I love the belt and hat.

  • pil replied 10 years ago

Love the hat on you. After seeing this and Janet's fedoras I may have to try one on. Cute dress too! You know how people make calendars with family pictures? You need one with your awesome dresses :)

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

@ Jurocha - I got it from Dorothy Perkins; it is one of the fit and flare reincarnations from Closet UK ... I am scared it's too short :p

@ Pil - My dad thinks I should do that! HAHA.

Awesome look.  And the hat,  the hat...

    Like the belted version.
