WiW 5.31 - Denim and Floral for the Weekend!

See, I wear casual clothes too, contrary to what the guys at work think! Lol!

I love this dress; it's a replacement for another dress that I had that I couldn't wear to as many places due to general boobiness. Hope this one is more fab! Not sure if I should keep both of them - the older one is more booby, and this one is cotton vs. the old one is a polyester. Maybe I can put it in my travel wardrobe?

WiW 5.30 - Dots and Shorter Lengths!

Still keeping it me with the flare and the dots and the defined waist; but shorter length with flats today (no patient contact at work).

I have found myself reaching for my nicer accessories more often; I love this necklace via style exchange from K (shoutout!!!)

Striped Dresses: Kate Spade vs. Zara vs. Eliza J

When I was down in California with my peeps this summer, I came upon a beautiful dress at the Kate Spade outlet (#5 at an outlet price of almost $300)!

At the time I had already purchased the Eliza J version (1/2) with a bright pink stripe (which I think is neon and fabulous!) but it does limit what I can wear with it. Not too many things go well with neon pink ... (mustard definitely doesn't, but grey and navy look lovely).

I am contemplating the Zara version of the dress (3/4), which is slightly longer than the Eliza J version (about 1.5") which is the same length as the Kate Spade. I definitely can make use of the slightly longer length.

Is it worth while to replicate the stripe dress if I already have the Eliza J version for additional versatility (not limited by neon pink?) - Also for consideration, my Eliza J has some pills and will probably be only good for another season or two.

WiW 5.29 - Grey Weather, Cardigans and Blue Checks

It's raining and a tad chilly today, so the cardigan is for esthetics as much as practicality!

I managed to get this dress for a song (and a bit of an impulse buy) but I like the unusual and inconsistent checks and it's not just another "navy dress" in my closet. The ink gradient is actually ranging from ink blue to jet black and fun to look at while you're bored on the subway... ;)

I hope it will be a workhorse for me! It seems to play nicely with gold.

WiW 5.27 - Remix and Renew!

Old favs today with a nip tuck! The skirt was one of my DIY projects and the top from a more blousey part of my past.

Not sure about this top; it's definitely two layers and I'll see how the top layer behaves over the course of the day. It sort of falls strangely.

WiW 5.26 - A Hodgepodge of Dotty Owls

I was a bit worried this was going to be a big too ALGO, but it just didn't look right without the dots and the stripes and the owls!

I surprisingly like this outfit! It will go well with my dotty umbrella!!!

:) Stay dry if it's raining!

WiW 5.23 - "That's a Lot of Dress for a Little Girl!"

It sure is!!!

It will be a lovely sunny weekend over here and of course, this means that I will be at work! (Haha, who else, right?)

I love this midi, and it's almost long enough to be a true mid calf length dress, but I am just a smidgins taller!

It feels very twirly!

Definitely Returned//: The Pink Bunny PJs

I am torn about this dress :) I was hoping for your opinion!

I think it reminds me in some ways of a sleep dress because of the colour and pattern and how comfortable it is; but is it a bit much?

ETA: I calculated returning this dress. It cost me about $35 to order (I had a bunch of coupons and bonus codes to knock it down from $90); but shipping it back will cost me $20 (minimum), so I really would only benefit from $15 of store credit which is kind of pointless - so I'm willing to hack it!!! Any ideas?

ETA 2: Couldn't stand it. Returned.

WiW: 5.22 - Zipper Malfunction!

Apologies for looking tired. No sleep overnight and in for another day of work - the last thing you need is a zipper to not cooperate and fall down, right?

Luckily, I totally felt it start to slide, and was able to save myself ... Ugh.

WiW 5.23 - Glasses! Glasses! Glasses!

A fun knock off of my Eva Franco glasses dress: I liked the sleeves but the overall feel of this dress is quite different than my other one. For one, it isn't lined, so itchy .... Gah!!!

I have worn a slip to see if I can save it; if not, skirt time!!!

  • Dress: eShakti
  • Belt: Anthropologie
  • Watch: Fossil
  • Earrings: Etsy
  • Pumps: Le Chateau

ETA: The slip seemed to work, it was a bit irritable at points during the day, but no need to scratch or be super itchy. Will keep for now.
