Dear YLF,
I went for a pattern mix today, tied down with the solid blazer. Does this work?
And I decided to keep the shoes! Tags off!!!!
Thanks for all your feedback!

Yes! I like the way your (fabulously cut!) blazer bookends the tights. Your skirt and top almost look like a dress with the belt marrying them up. New shoes are super fun, too!
I am largely allergic to pattern mixing, but this is doing it right: sober stripe with a pattern print. And grounded with a solid. Great formula and it looks great on you.
I'm a little less enthusiastic about the grey stockings with that colour shoe, but that might be just my conservatism coming into play.
This is fabulous pattern mixing lyn - and everything fits you so well. I love how you can take a fairly feminine skirt and then slightly "masculinize" it with the blazer and footwear. Brilliant!
Love! Is that the skirt that was an orphan just a few days ago? SO cool with the b/w stripe.
I think I missed the shoe post, but I'm glad you're keeping them!!
I don't remember seeing that skirt but it is lovely. I'm another with a pattern mixing allergy but this works for me. Not as sure on the tights, but maybe because I am just sweltering down here in the south.
I love your cool style (yes I'm repeating myself) and would love to look at all of your outfits one day.
Perfect lesson in pattern mixing! I love the way to pair your youthfu, girly quality (you remind me of a little girl who'd serve tea while up in a tree) with professional sophistication.
Cooky, but it totally works to my eye! Really cute!
