WiW: Old Favorites and the Sewing Machine

Hey! :)

I had some time this weekend to pull out the sewing machine and tailoring a few pieces I had not passed on because I liked them, but were getting too big! And these are the results!

The top used to be a dress (I bought two and one was too big so I chopped that one down) and the skirt is my only H&M! :) hope you like!

    Great tailoring, very impressive handiwork!

    PS  GREAT calves :)

Wow, I am impressed!  Great tailoring.  Way to save some fab pieces and make them totally your style!

@ Liz - Thanks! :P Whatever a Lyn look is! HAHA

@ Missey - Thanks! I think I sliced the armholes of the top too small. Oh well, live and learn, right?

@ Thistle - Thanks! It's actually really easy and I can't wait to outgrow more things :p - haha, outgrow, at my age!

You did a great job tailoring, your outfit looks fantastic!

A Lyn look is always FAB, layered, feminine, accessorized, with fun prints and colors.

Good job with the DIY top. Same 2 dresses, eh?  Did you miss the return window by any chance?  :)

    @ Karie - Thanks!

@ AJ - Acutally, I was worried that my size 10 UK would wear out, and the only one left when I went to buy a second one was size 12 UK, so I was like, meh, I'll get it anyway. :P It's a bit too blousy for a dress, I think. I love your definition of a Lyn look! I think I'm going to print it up and tape it to my mirror!

Very pretty outfit! I love the Spring patterns and colors on you. AJ's description of your style is very apt!

You look great.  This is your signature look.

  • krishnidoux replied 10 years ago

    Absolutely love! Great job!

I second Deborah! This is surely your signature look (and why shouldn't it be?! You look beautiful on in).

Don't you like HM? I know I hv my own concerns about their quality... (some work ethics too), but it's hard for me to resist their fast-food fashion (and awesome online return policy)

Great job with the sewing lyn*! You always look so cute.

I am not a huge fan of H and M because we can't online shop. The store is a mess and I can not find my size usually. :(
