WiW: 5.10 - Keeping Up Outward Appearances

A summery dress when I feel like nothing inside.

Midis are fun, but not getting much joy from them these days. Need to keep up looking like I am put together though.

  • Dress: ModCloth (See Fab Find)
  • Belt, Necklace: Anthropologie
  • Earrings: Ruche

Nothing like putting on something cheery to cheer us up! Great dress! I like the necklace on top as well. You look great! Doesn't the saying go "Fake it till you make it?" I hope you feel better inside. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling happy. You do look stunning in that dress. May I ask where it's from? I am looking for something similar for a wedding next month.

This is a dress from Modcloth, it's currently sold out, but they have restocks pretty often. If you ask a mod stylist they will tell you when the restocks are coming.

I love that dress. The print is especially pretty. I think what I like best is the belt. It keeps this fit and flare look from getting too sweet. I can't wait to try something similar because I have a very similar belt. (it's at the back of my closet right now ;-))

Killer gorgeous dress. I love the length and the lack of layers. Just beautiful. xo

Hey, hope you're okay! I like longer dresses for warmer weather and you look great in yours!

What a gorgeous print and silhouette!  This is a nice addition to your dress collection, Lyn!  So sorry you're not feeling yourself emotionally.  Pulling yourself together on the outside can be a way of shoring up the inside, too, as I'm sure you already know.  Now's the time to draw on your support system, or to bring new people into it, to rebuild your foundation.  God bless.

I really like the dress on you. Midis are usually hard to pull off but you pulled it of well with thus outfit. I hope things lighten up for you. When I'm feeling very BLAH, I tend to wear my cheeriest outfit as well :)

I hope you're doing OK, lyn. The dress is stunning. I remember seeing that belt in Anthro...it looks much better on you than it did on me!
