WiW 5.01 - Stripes and Checks

It's another warm day here, but not quite the 21 we got to yesterday (definitely sandals weather!) - although I can't turn my nose up at a 17 either!

It's nice to be able to wear some cotton-y summer stuff again!

I always struggle with bold stripes, but I think the checks soften the look :)

I'm surprised to hear you struggle with bold stripes. You look great! Love how the checks make it playful.

@TraceyLiz - Yeah, it was really fiddly all day at work. No more bows.

What a great dress! Your yellow cardi would look nice with it too if you needed a topper.

What a fun stripe/print. Maybe you can try it with the sash replaced with a wide belt?

It's 88 (F) here today so I also am wearing a simple cotton dress.

OMG. That is the most awesome dress ever. Explain to me again how I have a full wardrobe of gingham summer dresses... Ack!

What a fun way to do a bold stripe! Perhaps to reduce fiddle remove the self belt and pop on another one with a buckle or snap closure that will stay in place all on its own? Great length for a warm day ^^

Really like the dress - YLF

The dress is lovely on you. The bow belt does not seem as appropriate for work as a regular belt would be. To try the look you might tightly wrap the tie belt ends around your waist until you can tuck the ends back under. You might be able to pop a regular wide belt over it now to see how it looks. This won't work so well if the ties are bulky.
