WiW: 1.29 - Jeans! Ahh!

I have been informed that jeans in a professional way were needed today, but "friendly and approachable" - it's interview time for new residents! It's much more relaxing to be on this side of the fence for sure!

Had to fall back again on old favorites; but thought I could show you my new blazer! My sister picked it out for me! Love!

Yay! You look great, Lyn. You should wear jeans more often!

You nailed it!! This is both professional and more casual -- a terrific look on you! Love the dotty top. Great graphic integrity.

the jeans look great! agree with Ceit, you should wear them more often.
but what i really like is the polka dot blouse and the small polka dots on the cuff of your jacket!

Cute!  I so rarely see you in anything other than dresses, that it's a treat to see a different look.

I love the 2 polka dot prints! And you look great in jeans. :)

    You look nice, as always!

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

Yes ... I love those polka dots too! Great outfit!

This is a very nice casual and professional look, very relatable – good luck with the applicants. I love the big and mini-me dots – fun, the jeans look really nice tucked in the boots too. I love you new jacket, great choice, Sis!   I have two sweaters with "elbow" patches, and y' know, the patches on both are above my elbow... I wonder why. I see your jacket’s are a bit high too, and have seen several others the same way, so maybe I'll stop thinking I have monkey-long arms.

What a cute blazer! (Your sister has excellent taste.) The graphic dots are so fun and fresh looking. You look great in jeans.

You look great in jeans and the dots give this outfit a Lyn fun vibe, nice job!

    You look terrific in jeans!

  • Kristin L replied 10 years ago

Great look! You still look professional, but a bit more approachable.

Lyn, you look great!  Perfect note for the prescribed occasion.

Oh, I love the elbow patches on the jacket! What a cute touch! The structured blazer looks great over the more flowy dotted top. Such a great outfit.

@ Gracie - I usually scrunch my sleeves, so the patches are definitely higher than if I pulled them straight - they sit pretty  much on my elbows. :)

Love the blazer! Professional and approachable sums it up really well. This is definitely the sort of look I'm aiming for in my day-to-day.

Your elbow patch blazer is so cute with your dotted shirt. You look great in jeans; it's nice to see you with a different look than usual.

Love the new blazer. Aren't fallbacks great?

  • Mona replied 10 years ago

Polka dot shirt and elbow patch blazer look perfect together. Great choice from your sister!

  • Aubergine replied 10 years ago

I love the blazer and the way the shirt echoes the polka dots in the lining!

I'm also glad there's someone else out there who isn't thrilled by jeans-mandatory occasions. Although that pair does look really cute on you.

  • carambola replied 10 years ago

Great blazer and jeans! Still seems like a perfectly "you" outfit even though you don't wear jeans often.

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

This is a very "Lyn" approach to jeans --- great way to bring your personal style into the "environmental norm.

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Your sister couldn't go wrong with an Antropologie blazer, could she? :) Even though you aren't wearing a dress, the outfit looks true to your style.

  • jurocha replied 10 years ago

*lyn on jeans? That's a first! Still gorgeous: love the b&w dots.
