So, I really want a NEON pink messenger - Help me pick?

So, I saw a lady with an awesome kick-ass neon pink messenger bag! Not only is it super awesome, but I think it will be super fun for a summer bag!

(Alternatively, if it's really retarded, please talk me out of it).

Bag 1 - $30: Pic #1 to #3

Bag 2 - $50: Pic #4 to 6

:) Which one should I get? I'm not too concerned with durability and things like that, I plan only to use it for one season. I do have a favorite, but I'll keep mum on it for now, as to not cloud your judgements. :)

    Both are awesome, I prefer #2 just because 2 buckles are more bother than a single lock :-)
    I would also to check the weight: these big bags can get pretty heavy...

    I prefer the second one. I like the handle better and at first glance the first one looks like a droopy-eyed face :)

    I prefer 2 as I think it will be much easier to get to your stuff. Buckles are a pain!

    The second one, pictures 4 plus, has an easier open-close mechanism.  So I would go with that one.  Although the first one looks very much like the famous Cambridge satchel.

    The second one.  Even if the first one's buckles are just for show and hide a snap closure, the second one's closure is more secure.  The top handle of the second is much, much nicer looking and no doubt stronger, and overall visually is much better looking IMHO.  Had I not seen them side by side, I don't think I would have had such a strong preference.  Interesting what an additional $20 will get you.

    I like the second one. The neon is really cute!

    (As an off-topic, could we please not use the word retarded? I have friends and family with developmental and cognitive issues and this is admittedly a hot button issue for me)

    Well since you already have a Cambridge, I vote second. If that isn't an issue, I vote the first. ;)

    The second one looks like it has cleaner lines and higher quality (The black line is uneven around the buckles in 1), and I agree the closure is more functional.

    I prefer the first one because it appears to have a zipper in the main compartment. It seems that any time I carry an open top bag I manage to kick it over and drop something either expensive or embarrassing, so I try to go for zippers when possible!

    the first one looks like a student bag.  not that there is anything wrong with that as long as that is what you wanted.

    the second looks more finished.  it may ground your girly looks more than a "student-y" bag.

    They both look pretty, But I think I like the 2nd better. 

    I'm not a big neon person, but I think you could rock the socks off it!

    Well, the second one is very finished looking, but very purse like. The first is more a messenger bag.
