K/R Zara Top; Peplum with Zippers!

This is not my usual style, but I thought it could be fun, maybe?

The zippers can be pulled down all the way to be less peplum-y!

Neat! It's always fun to try something different. I like it a lot!

A peplum seems a natural fit for your style, Lyn, and the black/zippers edges it up a bit.  Love the fit, but I'd do the "bend over" test and what I call the "waiter" test (when you're seated, will someone standing get a great view), since the V is very flattering, but kinda deep.  I speak from experience!  I can't tell from the pics, of course, and it might be fine.

    LOVE the red skirt.

Nothing wrong with having fun with fashion!

It's quite interesting and different. How does it look with your other skirts and jeans?

  • Ornella replied 9 years ago

One of the best things I've seen on you. In short - BBQ.

  • replied 9 years ago

    I think it looks great!

  • Janet replied 9 years ago

I agree with Ornella. It fits your fit-and-flare style, but with a little more edge. Really fun!

A fab little piece to add to your wardrobe and will probably work with most of your skirts.

Ooh, this is a bit edgy for you, Lyn!  I like it!  It's very fun and very flattering on you.

It's fantastic on you! I think a peplum would fit right in with your ladylike style. Works great how you've shown it here.

  • celia replied 9 years ago

Although it is a little different than what you usually go for it really suits you. I say keep :)

  • Diana replied 9 years ago

I like it! Edgy but still feminine.

(And I may or may not have just gone to the Zara site to look at it. But it's only available in xs right now.)

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

    Love.

Please don't cover it up with a cardigan. xo

  • Suja replied 9 years ago

Love it.  Too bad it is sold out in my size.  I might have to take a stroll at lunch and see if our local store had it in stock.

Thanks ladies! I suppose I'll be keeping this one!

@ Beth Ann - I don't think it'd pass the work test; unless it was layered or I do something really out there and creative with it :) I think it's okay if I just wanted to go out for dinner with some friends or other things like this!

@ Angie - Haha; can I layer something under it? ;)

@ AJ - I think it looks pretty fly with jeans!

@ Diana and Suja - I sized up; this is a large. The medium was too small. It's a middle of the back zipper, to really get in and out of it.

Beautiful top on you and I agree that it fits your fit and flare style but with a bit of edge.

  • Gracie replied 9 years ago

Whatever contortions you need to perform to get this top on are absolutely worth it – you look smashing in it! I was also going to suggest to pair with jeans to push the style a bit more – you'll be unstoppable! :)

  • replied 9 years ago

I think it's a perfect fit for your fit and flare style, lyn! Keep!

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

@Gracie - It's actually not too bad! It just kinda slips on and it zips up the back :) There's a big hole for my big head.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

Sure. That sounds like a fun idea. xo

Are peplums having a second wave? I think they are!!

  • Ledonna N. replied 9 years ago

Wow that's a really funky top. I could see a variety of styling options.

  • replied 9 years ago

    I love it Lyn!

  • Kristin L replied 9 years ago

I think it looks great on you. The zippers give it a fun, edgy look.

  • Debbie replied 9 years ago

Love this. Definitely adds a little edge.

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Love it! What a fun addition to your wardrobe.

  • Ornella replied 9 years ago

    Did you buy it?

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

I sure did keep it :)

  • Ornella replied 9 years ago

    Phew!
