WiW 6.23 - Quirky Casuals!

One thing great about not having to go to work on my holiday is I can wear my more casual things!

I had bought this dress (sale goggles) because it was full cotton and a Bernie Dexter and everyone on Modcloth was raving about how awesome the dresses are. Well, the quality is amazing and I snapped it up for an amazing price!

That being said, I think it might be too busy and quirky to go to work; so I will keep it in the casual section or the paperwork section.

Ah; and just my sandals. I don't think I've found them yet by that point in the morning! :)

  • Dress: Bernie Dexter
  • Belt: ... hmm, from an Eva Franco dress?
  • Imaginary Sandals: Clarks

So fun! It is a shame that you can't wear it to work.

I love the print! If you were my doc I'd be chatting with you about it, for sure. I can see why you'd want to keep for more casual days though. *Picturing with sandals* Yep, that's pretty cute ^^

Love the quirky print of the dress! As for the print being too busy/quirky for work: I think the busy-ness isn't what makes it casual to me but the colour scheme and the theme of the print. I can sooo see this with orange low wedge sandals!!!

Wearing that whimsical dress is easily solved - you need more holidays!

I love any print which reminds me of vintage 40's (?) wall paper--and it looks terrific on you!

A Modcloth stylist made a set with this dress that includes a fascinator! Hahahha.... Oh boy.

    OMG that turquoise colour!!!!

I like pil's solution. Would you be able wear a solid skirt over the bottom of the dress to tone it down for work?

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

Oh; maybe my new Zara skirt? I'd need one that was long enough :)

Fun print! I would save it for casual and enjoy the heck out of it. It would look great with your denim jacket, too.

Too fun! I think you'd look cute in a fascinator, btw!

Love the sandals. I'll bet they go with just about everything in your closet.

What a cute and fun dress!

I'd wear it to work if your workplace allows causal clothing.

I would definitely wear it with a cardigan--may be white--to cover up the chest area.

    Really fun dress!
