  This dress is from Anthropologie a few years ago, I bought it NWT from someone's closet cleanup for a song!

  Oh, you look so amazing!  I would do whichever lip is most flattering - hot pink is much better on me than red for some reason.

  Gorgeous dress.  Looks amazing on you.  I agree with Alaska girl.  Go with a bold lip that flatters you.  That may be red.  I would look awful with red lips.

  This outfit is perfect. The dress is beautiful, fits you perfectly and you were absolutely right, the nude shoes look great. It's so perfect, you really don't need to do anything else but if you have a red lipstick, that would be great.
  This dress suits you so well it could've been made with you in mind.

  Gorgeous! Really like the light shoes with the dress. I agree with Una, any bold lip color that suits you would work nicely (red, orange, pink...) but so  would a soft glossy shade.

  UPDATE - Thanks so much for your kind guidance, ladies (as usual) - I picked up the one award that I was really hoping to get, so I am pretty happy with myself. My preceptor made a funny little speech about how I never wore pants - in fact, he's not even sure if I own pants ... I think it's funny how fashion and style choices touch us in ways we don't know! 

  The Boy and I broke up last year around this time. It was a surprise, but thank you for remembering, Sveta. 

  I have so many events this year, I definitely am planning on recycling this dress, so I'll go with a more neutral lip next time! :)
