TWIRLY SKIRTS ARE IN? GAHHHHHHH!!!

But I thought I was supposed to stay away from them! :P Just when I get into the pencil scene, it seems like Twirly Skirts are back! And Fit and Flare is everywhere in stores!

I have noticed that those skirts are usually pretty short so far...

I have looked at my twirly skirt collection and I found some I didn't like so I stuck them into the style exchange if anyone is looking for a new Twirly Skirt!

PS: Some pics of some twirly skirts in the last two years :D

lyn, I think you should keep wearing them because they fit you so well (twirly skirts in general)! It's more a matter of determining what image you want to put across in what situation.

The shape really suits you well.

I don't think you need to get rid of all your twirly skirts. In a professional setting, you just want to make sure they are long enough and paired with the right tops to be taken seriously. But the shorter, girlier variations are certainly wearable in non-professional settings.

I second Sara L. You love twirly skirts and they love you right back.

Don't cull ALL your twirly skirts, lyn*, they really do suit you so well:-)

Lyn I didn't think an untucked top could look streamlined and balanced with a full skirt, but #6 is lovely! Infact I love all of your looks and you really carry off the above the knee length perfectly without it appearing juvenile at all! I'm sure you'll carry off pencil skirts perfectly too!

Didn't Angie say they are never out? You were just ahead of your time making them a big part of your style. :)

You girly twirly thing you! This is pure eye candy for me. I absolutely adore #3 and would wear it myself If I thought the bow would work for me.

I thought we agreed that this was a great every day look but when interviews rolled around that pencil skirts would come out to visit?

#6 is so cute and flirty (I could do a version of that!) #8 is my favorite I love the necklace. You know I'm going to mark this one as one of my favorites. I have to come back to this when spring arrives here.

Wear your twirly skirts with pride! Just pair with some structure and grown-up clothing partners for work! I tried some knee length twirly dresses. Not so much. Wear them for me!

Your twirly skirts show off your tiny waist. Keep the longer ones.

Thanks ladies! I totally wore a twirly skirt today on my overnight shift and when I thought no one was looking, twirled in the ER.

Well, someone is always looking. The police officers had a good laugh :) They were very nice about it, though!

Lyn, to me you are the queen of twirly skirts. It really fits your gamine, delicate body. And you accessorize them so well too! With boots, booties or shoes, they are darling on you. It's hard to say which one is my favourite from the above pics, but if pressed, I would say 6, for the play with pattern, and sexy shape. I really dig twirly skirts with booties on you, I think it gives it an extra kick (no pun intended).

Oh, but 1 is also soooo pleasing. Tall boots make the eyes go up and down, stripes make them side to side for a very balanced effect, with the focal point being a clever red buckle peeping through. And what about 7, with its retro Coco Chanel inspiration - I know you gave that skirt away because it was itchy, but do look for another non itchy one! So you can pair it with this lovely striped top.
    8 and 9 are a success too.
