WIW... Taming the Pink Poof!

Dear YLF,
It's a rare non-clinical day, so I had the chance to wear something a bit more crazy! I picked up this skirt last year, when shopping with my sister, but had been having trouble with the poof factor.

I would appreciate any and all styling suggestions!

Bonus pic 3 re: length of my hair. Ugh. Don't know if I like the longer length.

Stay cool!
Lyn

I think this works really well- you look adorable! The jacket adds a little edge and saves it from looking too sweet.
Is the skirt pink with a darker lining?
I'm not always a fan of leggings with skirts, but I really like them with this outfit.
    Thumbs up!

Ithink this works. it is a good balance edgy and a little sweet. Your hair is looking good at that length. It is so hard to grow it out.

Have patience with the hair, it looks good and will look better, Lyn! Maybe try a dramatic hairband or pin instead of earrings, for a bit?

And the outfit totally works for de-poufing! I like the addition of tough jacket to feminine pink and polka dots. Very smart styling.

I think you've already tamed the poof with the edgy jacket. Very ballerina-with-a-bf-with-a-motorcycle. ;)

This looks great lyn. I think pairing the skirt with black and grey is perfect. A faded denim jacket might be nice over a black tank and leggings with this skirt as well. Love the flats and your hair looks good longer. I think you should keep going with it a bit more.

You look great, Lynn! I loved your hair really short but this is a fun change.

Edgy and twirly all rolled into one fantastic outfit!

RE: hair length - I need to use more shampoo now!

@ Parsley - that's right; it's pink with black underneath; and cutesy dots. :P so easy to go cute overload!

@ Manidipa - I will try to find a headband; I find they squish my fat head :p

@ Rae - HAHAHA; would I date an "organ donor" boyfriend? Funny you should mention that, because he does have a motorcycle.

@ Claire - I will try to find a jean jacket as well! :) Can you believe I no longer have one?

What Rae said! Looks very cute!

I like the outfit as is, but maybe adding a third colour, like denim as CC suggests would be a nice change. Or what about adding some blush colour on the top to bring out the pink tones? One of the posters here, Jenava I think, has a fab blush coloured leather jacket that would look amazing with this skirt.

This is a gorgeous skirt and I think you have the styling perfect. Would you consider some pattern mixing with a different top, for fun!?

What a cute funky look you have going on here! Leggings really love you. And the shoes are just perfect here - both in style and colour.
