WiW; Rather Monochromic

Dear YLF,

Ugh, the dreaded weekend split call shift is upon me (Friday and Sunday), so I suppose I am feeling rather drab today. Couldn't find anything bright today that was clean (lol).

Will try to do better Sunday.

Love,
Lyn

Monochromatic = yes. Drab = no. I think this outfit looks great on you and the owl gives it some punch and visual interest, as do the tights and boots.

Very nice and professional! I like this a lot; the patterned tights and owl will make your patients and co-workers smile. :)

Lyn, I seriously love this. For what you are about to undertake I think it is PERFECT. Comfortable, professional, yet it also has a spark of personality with those incredibly cool tights (what ARE they??), the brown boots, and your pendant. When I am undertaking a really tough assignment, comfort and neutral colours are very comforting to me. I would wear this in a minute.

Loving this! Grey and black with a bit of interest in the tights...that's just my thing! Love your little owl too!

I really like this, especially the way the patterned tights peek out. The dress and cardi are so perfect on you!

Mr. Owl takes care of any lack of color as well as the peek of patterned tights. Everything looks like it fits beautifully. Big thumbs up and wishes for a weekend that's not dreadful or stressful.

I understand how we crave colour on grey November days. But this is still a very good outfit, for all the reasons everybody else has said.

Got a bright red coat? ;o)

You still look better than most of the residents at my hospital.

well, i like this outfit loads...but i do monochrome in general. those boots are tdf.

Big fan of monochromatic looks here! Must say the brown boots are stellar with this outfit, my favorite detail. And the peek of pattern is just as playful as color. Hope the shifts go well!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

I don't think monochromatic equals drab. I like the clean lines of the dress & topper. The brown boots & owl pendant add just the right amount of interest to make sure that you look anything but drab.

Love this look! The tights and necklace add visual interest. Very nice! Hope you have a very quiet weekend, work wise.

  • Freckles replied 11 years ago

Such a shame you were feeling drab today as you look anything but. Those tights are glorious with the dress and cardi combination.
