WiW: A Casual BBQ Party :)

Finally! Done R1 year and out and about to welcome the new R1 bunch into the warm company of our specialty! YAY!

I went with something simple because last year one of my friends said it was really warm, so I could shed the jacket if I wanted.

Funny story - someone offered me $50 for the jacket today! :) She said she loved it and how it fit and she WANTED IT SO BAD. You'll notice I currently still own the jacket (I bought it for $11.40 from Forever 21's clearance section).

Hope this selection meets with your approval!

You look sweet! Love the yellow on you.

Love the long hair lyn and that dress is fantastic on you. Enjoy dinner!

    Love!

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

Thanks! Definitely felt more appropriately dressed than some of the others who probably floundered at "casual" :p

Great story - you can't put a price on perfection, even if you did buy it on clearance. :D

    Congrats on finishing R1!!

    Fab look!
What a nice validation of your choice

Love the mustard with the jean jacket. Parfait!

So I take it you didn't sell it?

This is such a cute outfit!  I admire your courage in wearing a light-colored dress.   Because if I wore it, I would be a complete magnet for BBQ sauce...  :D

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

Tee hee. No, I didn't sell it. My dad was a bit disappointed: "But think of the profit!" But I wouldn't have been able to replace it with a jean jacket I equally loved for that price.

I don't eat too much at BBQ - so no sauce :) I sticked (stuck to?) to clear liquids, too!

Good call! I would have been tempted because I would be thinking exactly what your dad said! Lol, but who cares, it looks great and for the extra $39 it makes no sense to sell it.

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

Tee hee, don't worry, Raisin, I'm sure if you found something you loved just as much you wouldn't sell out if someone asked :)

So nice to see your hair down, Lyn! #2 looks wonderful.

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

Beautiful! Love the longer hair on you too!

You look lovely and good call on keeping the jacket. Now you have something that is unavailable, like a limited edition or something, lol!

You know you are on YLF too much when you read "BBQ party" as a Buy Buy Quick shopping party.
I'm glad you didn't sell the jacket. It would be hard to replace. You look wonderful.

Such a cute skirt, and I love the colors - this is one of my fav outfits of yours! And I'm glad you didn't sell the jacket :)

Ha!  WHat a compliment to be offered money for your jacket.  It is fab. I like the pink wallet with the outfit.

  • pil replied 10 years ago

I love this on you, lyn*, wonderful colors on you and an excellent choice for the occasion. Wise move to keep the jacket - don't forget the cost of your time in finding a replacement. Tell your dad it could have acutally cost you money in the end :)

How many years is your residency?
New phone cover? I seem to remember a big pug dog face before.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Such a pretty outfit! I'm glad you kept the jacket. It's the perfect way to dress your fancy frocks down, and a lovely summery wash.

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

@ Pil - You're so observant! My previous Kate Spade cover (the composition book) met a bad end. I dropped my phone down 8 stairs and thought that was the end of my phone (a kick was involved in it as I was walking down the stairs). Luckily, the case shattered but the phone was perfect! So I had to buy Kate Spade again :) - Puppies!!! They are Scotties, I think!

Love this silhouette, Lyn.  It has your feminine style all over it.  I love the way you've been allowing your signature look to grow with you in the past year!

Congratulations on the completion of your R1!

Wow! One of your best ever.
