WiW 9.05 - On Days Off!

It's so lovely to have two weeks off! I guess this is why people do it!!

I had a chance to work on my journal as well and took two snaps of it to share to fill up my space!!

Having fun!

    Enjoy your days off!!!

I see you are not only a spiffy when it comes to fashion, you are also a talented artist.

Photo #1 looks really cute with the blue dress, brown boots and of course the Tim Hortons coffee which from what I know, is as popular as Starbucks in the United States. Do you have such an outfit in RL? I think that would looks oooo cute on you!

Photo #2 shows your teddy bear pushing a shopping card. You mentioned that it was a thredded t-shirt. I have always wondered what those super comfy workout t-shirts were made of. Glad you made that drawing and posted it here!

Hi Laura! :) These are all of my real outfits ... I don't think I'm creative enough to venture into hypothetical outfits yet!! I might draw how some of my new purchases might look in my head while they get shipped over from the UK though :)

    I love my Timmies. Mmmmmmmm.....

These were really neat to read- thanks for the morning fun. Enjoy your day off!

Thanks for the fun morning read! I was interested in Eshakti for a bit but was terrified by the reviews. It sounds like you have some happy things from them though. Have you been pleased with the shipping, quality, sizing, etc.?

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

N-Marie - Thanks! It's pretty tiny to read :p You must have good eyes!

@ Columbine - You too! Haha. I have had only good experiences in terms of quality and the sizing from eShakti. In terms of their shipping they have a brand new system in for Canadians, so I can't comment on it just yet. I like them because like I have written, I can get length and fit and sleeves. I am pretty careful to buy only their "higher end" stuff - most of the complaints are from people who buy the $35 cotton dress and it fades - well, if you went to Forever 21 and bought a cotton dress for $35, what would you expect? :p

I have lots of eShakti dresses ... if you wanted to go back through my blog you can see a bunch of them. I've only had one "quality" issue which is only my own fault - I have a rip in one because I pulled on it too hard and it got caught in the charting cart and all sorts of drama. :p

If you ever wanted to try them out, you can always PM me your email address and I can send you a referral code so you can have a coupon :) I've done that for a few of the YLF ladies.

ETA: NEVER BUY FULL PRICE unless you absolutely love that fabric and would simply perish if it were to sell out. They have fabrics that sell out within hours (which drives me BONKERS) but usually they restock. There's a beautiful gold embroidered one that sold out within hours and never restocked. I am totally kicking myself for missing out!!!

Wow, Lyn, you have so many talents. How fun to read your journal. Enjoy your days off!

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

Ingunn - tee hee. :) We cross posted! Thanks for the reading ... you all have really good eyes on here!

  • columbine(erin) replied 9 years ago

Thanks for the info, Lyn*. I'll take you up on the referral code sometime when I have a clothing budget again. Enjoy your time off, you deserve it.

Your drawings are the best. Amazing! (And the outfit too.)

  • ramya replied 9 years ago

You are really awesome. I want to try drawing too :).
But I miss seeing you Lyn :)

Your journal is so much fun! I think that if I tried to lift one of your kettlebells, my arm would rip off and cause a bloody mess. And I think it's so cute that you work out with a tee with a bear on it! Ha ha!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Very cute! But what is a "Timmy's?"

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

    Columbine - Sounds good! :)

    Alasse - And there's pockets!

@ Ramya - You see me all the time ;)

@ Gigi - That's what my dad thought too, then he realized 10 lbs is pretty light. Most people start with a 25 lb kettlebell (with a coach), so I'm starting small!

    Karie - A Tim Horton's ... it's a Canadian coffee chain :)
