WiW 7.22 - Not Sure; Pastels in My Life?

I think I had picked up this skirt because it had pockets. I don't usually wear pastels, but I tried to tone it down a wee bit with lighter browns.

I'm not loving this too much. What says YLF?

It doesn't stand out as much as your usual outfits, but I really like the colors and this look on you. You look professional in a summery way. And the browns work really well.

It really looks nice - you've styled it beautifully as always -- but for me, it doesn't have quite the defined voice of what you usually wear. I really love the stronger colors and patterns you are typically drawn to.

What color is the skirt Lyn? It's coming across kind of khaki on my monitor. What ever color it is, it's not screaming "Easter egg pastel" to me.

It's Easter egg purple. Maybe I could wear it with navy?

On my monitor it looks like a muted mauve (hmmm...I love mauve....), so I feel like I can't give you any advice, if it's a brighter pastel purple in real life!

If you're looking for more colour combo inspiration, I love Design Seeds: you can search by colour & it shows all these lovely palettes.

I agree, summer professional, but it looks better w/o the cardigan to me. I think the top's colour looks better with your complexion than the matching cardigan is why.

I think it's lovely! It doesn't read as pastel to me, more muted/dusty. I MUCH prefer it without the cardigan. Perhaps try with a more cheerfully colored topper so you've got more pep in the look? Cheerful brights can actually pair quite nicely with pastels. Think mint+tomato red, or blush+bright orange, or lilac+cobalt. Btw, the browns are a great leather accent for the skirt.
