WiW 5.15 - Kate Spade Inspired (In the Rain)

A graphic mix inspired by my umbrella (which I got for a song because no one in my home town has any clue who Kate Spade is).

I think I really like this outfit: I think the length of skirt here works well with flats! It's also a neoprene dress which will hopefully still retain it's awesomeness by the time I get to work despite the rain.

Also, blogger inspired buy on this dress, and it was on such mega clearance I have it in a 10 and a 12 (from the UK) so I can tuck one into my travel capsule!

Feel good today, lovely ladies!

Lyn - so glad you are feeling well!!  Outfit is fantastic and elegant.  You have the tinest waist!!  Being a rectangle I am filled with envy.  Perfect figure for the fit and flares that look so divine on you!!  Hope all is well!!

I love your outfit!  Very cute umbrella, too!  Where did you get the dress?

You look elegant. I love the raincoat with the dress.

  • Alassë replied 10 years ago

    Definitely fab!

Cute and cheeky! That's a lovely dress, I quite like the strong but simple neckline. Extra cheerful with the trench, and a shot of fun with the trench's print mixing. The dangly earrings are a fab accessory, too.

I love that dress on you. Not quite sure of the brown and tan belt with it though.

It's really neoprene - like a wetsuit?? - how cool is that!! - did it survive the rain without sagging?? it looks great!! especially with the dotted trench!!

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

LOVE!!!! Especially with the dotty coat. I am marking this as a favorite.

Thanks ladies - this outfit was a great hit at work :3 I swapped it out for some nude pumps for the office.

Laura - This dress comes from F&F; the dress is on sale currently (and it comes in a petite size as well), and there is also a coupon code (if you decide to order it - expires May 18th: FF20GIFT14 for 20% off orders over 50 British Pounds). I sized up because the 10UK was a bit tight in the boobage. This is a 12UK.

Anna - I struggled with finding an appropriate belt. I will try another colour next time!

Dustt - And it repels stains! I dropped something on it when eating lunch (naturally it would land on the WHITE part) and wiped off with a kleenex!

The shape of the dress and graphic stripe are perfect on you. I'm curious about the neoprene though, it doesn't get too hot?

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

Good question, Pil - I didn't notice getting too warm today! I like the structure it provides because even though it was windy, my dress wasn't floppy all over the place! I'd equate it to about a normal poly dress, but not as cool as my normal cottons.

That dress with the polka dot coat!!!! It's just pure lovely!

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

    Great dress (and umbrella)!

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Neoprene, cool! Adds a fun edge to the sweet shape of the dress. I like pairing earth tones with brights. :)

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

Fabulous dress!  Bold, femnine and powerful and a perfect choice for the day.

  • Gigi replied 10 years ago

Cute! I love the juxtaposition of the polka dots and the stripes. Super fab!

One suggestion: Maybe you should add some stiletto heels, like in the pic, especially when you are working a 24-hour shift. ;^)

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

ROFL, Gigi ... there are girls who try to work the shifts in super high shoes. I don't know how they do it! :)

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

Great dress!  I love it with the polka dot coat.

  • dustt replied 10 years ago

Lyn!! stain repellant too - OMG - that makes it like a Superwoman dress!! - I so need one as at least once a day I'm using a Tide stain pen to get coffee off of some part of my ensemble!! - that is about the coolest dress EVER now...
