I finally had some time last night to tailor this dress I had found on eBay; although it was a larger size, it was quite a steal and I am hoping that this fun houndstooth may be a more "grown up" version of the fun conversational prints I love - sometimes you have to look a little more grown up, right?
My rebellious side chose the purple tights though! Yeah! :D

Houndstooth is one of my favorite prints (along with glen plaid). It is a classic that just always looks good, lovely paired with purple. I also think it will pair well with red.
