WiW: 10.22 - Dots and Owls

Tee hee! I had planned on this outfit before

Angie's post and look; patterns!!! I love the cute little patterns that end up in my closet somehow (not by accident, I assure you)!

The dots are pretty fun as a basic to pattern match too!

:) mmmm. Too early in the morning for witty insight!!

Adorable as ever. You are the Queen of whimsical patterns and mixing.

That bumblebee blouse is pretty cute! I always enjoy seeing your outfits.

You are a fabulous pattern mixer lyn!

Yep you're definitely in the pattern camp. I've always loved the whimsical elements you bring to your outfits. You look great!

  • Inge replied 10 years ago

This is wonderful, lyn*. Love the subtle dots with the whimsical owl pattern, and the round shapes on your belt can almost count like an extra pattern too, don't you think?-)

Love this! a sophisticated outfit with a shimiscial twist!

I really like that top! I like the neckline.

Very cute - you are clearly the master of whimsical patterns!  It is always a pleasant surprise to me how your outfits look totally grown up and sophisticated.  You really have a great eye for print.

Edit - I may have worded my compliment poorly.  For context, I love figural prints like your owls but always worry that I would look like a child in them.  You, on the other hand, always look like a charmingly stylish adult woman.  Bravo.

There is that cute belt again. A young at heart feel in a grown up silhouette :)

This whole outfit is so cute and fun! The belt is a gorgeous piece.

@ Joy - Thanks! :3 I try to up the whimsy in my life!

@ Alasse - I want a bumblebee blouse really bad; MaryK and Goldenpig have the most adorablest one! Mine is a owl top though :)

    @ Suz - Whoa. A bold SO!

@ Shannon - I cheat a lot; both of these pieces are really easy to pattern mix with!

@ Amy - Yup, definitely pattern camping here!

@ Inge - I was hoping it would play off the dots in the skirt, but they are a different type of bubbles! I'm surprised I like this belt so much; I was worried it would be one of those purchases that just sit there!

@ Tracey - Thanks; one of my preceptors was very thankful I didn't look like a "street person" - I didn't ask to elaborate.

@ Rachylou - It actually has an interesting back to it too; but that's for another WiW ;)

@ Emily - Oh; I struggle with that all the time! I'm worried that I look too young, because people always ask me how old I am - and they don't really ask the older docs that!

@ Ceit - Mix mash in the morning? :)

@ Pil - Thanks! Maybe it is the pencil skirt that keeps this grown up!

@ El Cee - (Elsie? One of my best friends in high school was Elsie. She shortened hers to LC).
