RETURNED: Anthro Lace Midi with Sleeves!

Stalked this little dress from $250 down to $50, but what does YLF think of it?

I am thinking for occasions in the fall and winter where I may not want to wear a topper, a lace dress with sleeves would be nice: and the length is long enough for polite company, including church, I think.

    Eh, not thrilling me. Sorry.

I like it, but it is more sober than your usual style.

Agree it's a little somber and pretty but not Special. Then again, such items sometimes turn out to be workhorses.

Just thought of something else - I never really felt that comfortable wearing lace to church, especially black lace. There's just something evening-y about it somehow. Just something to think about if that's going to be one of your big uses for it.

I think the shape is lovely and classic but the black lace over nude reads as more of an evening or date night dress to me, something that could possibly be difficult to dress down for everyday wear?

It'd definitely be a special occasion dress ... and the only time I'd go to a church would be for someone's wedding or with the Boy's family for Christmas. I thought sleeves would be more appropriate.

I don't think I'd be wearing this dress every day ;)

It is less whimsical than usual, but it might be a good backdrop for a statement necklace, which you could change up for various occasions.

It also reads young to me. And a bit cheap.

To be honest, although the dress certainly has a nude-colored lining, it has the *feel* of a see-through dress, imo. I would nix it for church, even "special occasion" services, not just because of the faux see-through effect but because of the deep neckline.

I would say, unless you really like it, to pass. I think you can find something more flattering. It doesn't seem to match your usual style.

Okay dokies, YLF has spoken, and I shall return it ... :3 Don't have room for maybes anymore anyway.

I'm late, but think you are doing the right thing returning this dress. There is something more your style and church appropriate waiting for you to find it.

    Good call Lyn.
