Frustrations About Pants

I think I've realized why I don't like pants (again) - I've tried on about 50-75 pairs of dress pants in different stores; various cuts, sizes (00 to 8) and materials.

In general, they all have something wrong with them.

1. The dreaded crotch clumping
2. Too tight in the thighs
3. Material too itchy
4. Material too shiny
5. Pockets too pokey
6. Wrinkling over thighs
7. Wrinkling on side of thighs
8. Crotch clump when sitting
9. Wrinkling on thighs when sitting
10. Too short
11. Too long - if this was the ONLY problem, then I can get them hemmed, but it's not

That's it. No pants.

I don't know how you ladies do it.

    jeans. i would wear these exclusively if i could.

    totally sympathize with the list...sometimes fel like goldilocks or the princess and the pea.

    Most problems (other than length) are solved for me when the spandex content gets up above 7%, lol! Granted, they are not always the classiest looking pants....but comfy! I second the jeans, you can get a ton of spandex and still look good.

    You need to get to BR and try on the Martin Fits and report back to me asap.

    BR, eh? I will have to go this weekend and report back - there isn't a BR near where I live :)

    Yes, I agree with Angie. Try the Martins! (I also just realized that ALL of my non-jeans pants come from BR, and 2 of the 3 are martins. The third pair - my microchecks - may be as well but it didn't have a name so I don't know.)

    I feel for you. My pant woes are similar for different reasons, do love pants though...

    Bleah. I tried on seven pairs of pants yesterday, none fit, but I found all kinds of new ways for pants NOT to fit, so I feel your pain. I can't believe there are rises too high for *me*, the lover of natural rise pants. Now they have ones that practically go up to your armpits. sheesh.
