This was one of my very first purchases of a "nice" dress and I couldn't believe the difference!!! I stopped wearing pants shortly thereafter!

I saw the cutest little yorkie on my commute today (and thought about Angie, naturally) and he thought my boots smelled interesting! It was probably the random animal dung I stepped in yesterday, but I prefer to think it's my awesome poodle sweater!!
Also: I decided to go with AppleCare but they have "sold out" so I need to wait a week. Ugh. I am now terrified I will break it in a week!!

I am Having some trouble finding the original inspiration photo, but there was a belted cardigan which made me think that this outfit was also a good idea!
Triple pattern mix today: dotty tights and subtle plaid with the birds in the spotlight!

I bought this dress solely for the pattern and everyone at work loved it! It has a very summery neckline so I had to hide it a bit with my necklace, but I think I really love the results!
One of my staff docs wondered if he could make a suit out of that material! Would be exciting!

I have found that the more expensive dresses in my collection get a lot of use; mostly because I love them to pieces and they feel so FAB on - Forever21 has nothing on them (haha; I learned this the hard way!)
I have loved the aesthetics of Kate Spade for a very long time, and I don't think I'll be getting their rather iconic striped dress (my arch nemesis has it) nor the really cute bow tie one (really, Kate Spade, RAYON? RAYON?) - but this pink one tickled my fancy!!!
My only other "expensive" dress was my Eva Franco glasses dress and I knew the quality was wonderful before I bought it - so I am turning to the collective wisdom of YLF - how is Kate Spade's quality on dresses?? This one is silk.

Whoo! This dress is a bit more poofy than I realized and I tried to tame that down a bit with a cardigan and the over top belt: there is a bit of subtle gold coloring with the lace overlay, and I had bought this dress last ear for parties. I recently saw online someone wear it for work with a light grey cardigan so I thought I would give it a spin too!!
I hope this works out; and we got snow!!
