WiW: 11.21 - Cold Snap Over?

Yay! No windchill makes it feel much warmer outside!! Still a parka day!

One of my surgery friends insists on not ruining his hair with a toque! And I thought girls were the "crazy" ones!

It will be minus single digits tomorrow!! Can't wait! Keep warm!! :)

WiW: 11.20 - At the End of the Day

One of my friends (shout out to A.) was saying how that blogging is such an artificial construct because I took my pics at the beginning of the day and not how they are after 8 or 10 hours of wear.

So, by reader request, here you are!! :)

WiW: 11.19 - Brrr! -30C & The Natalie Skirt!

Thanks Natalie for another beautiful skirt! I love the swishy swish of this one!!!

Another cold day in the north; but I have a big parka and double mitts and double toque and double scarves!! Toasty warm. People here were seen with bare legs and pumps (aka frostbite waiting to happen).

I may look like a toasted marshmallow but at least I am warm!!!! :)

Back to -2 on Thursday. Phew.

Also. Wearing blazer closed because open looks sloppy.

  • Blazer: RW&Co
  • Blouse: Ricki's

TAKEN: Fit & Flare Dresses x3, Winter Skirt x1,

Closet UK: Dotty Dress! (UK10)
Been on some adventures with me, but I don't like teal. I do love dots! Originally purchased off ModCloth. I don't think I have the original belt, but I can dig it up if you want. Size guide: http://www.closetclothing.co.uk/size-guide

Ruby Belle/Fever UK: Winter Weight Skirt! (UK8)
This was from Modcloth as well and I love the tiers! My hips are just a touch too big for this, so I am hoping someone else will be able to make it work for them. Never worn, just too lazy to return. Size guide: http://www.feverdesigns.co.uk/sizing-guide/

Closet UK: Tartan Print Dress (UK10)

"Outgrowing" Old Favorites - Feeling Guilty/Sad

I used to 100% love these little fit and flare dresses from Closet UK. In fact, I think I have them in almost EVERY colour.

None of them have been getting any love lately. They still fit me well, but I always hesitate to wear them to work because of their length, and I'm always reaching for something else.

I think it says something about the state of the dresses in my closet when I try to go and find pictures of WiW and can only come up with 7 of them in the last two years.

I think passing on the patterned ones will not be painful for me, but I do have a collection of solid coloured ones - red, navy, green, purples ... Should I 1 in 1 out them for something similar but longer length, or hang on to them?

WiW: 11.15 - In which my hair decided to stick out

This whole new hair thing drove me batty this morning because it was just sticking out! Straight! Had to break out the bobby pins lest I have a straight lock like Mae Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist reference for the win!)

This dress was a gift from a friend's closet and had a deep v which she found annoying and hard to wear for work when you didn't want to do the layered cami look. I think I may have successfully solved that issue ...

WiW: 11.14 - Orphans in the Wardrobe

Happy orphan day!!

I don't quite remember why things get shoved to the back of the closet, but sometimes it is interesting to dig them back out!!

I wanted to try this dress because it has a sibling in a beautiful navy I am considering to replace my H and M dress which now has a (grr) hole!

I also have decided that enough is enough with parting my hair in the middle and finally slept on it with a different part. Haha.

Oh I am silly.

Is this dress worth duplication in navy?

WiW: 11.12 - A funny package has come for me!

The specs dress again today; not sick and tired of this bold print just yet! It is still pretty fun to wear and the material seems to be holding up pretty nicely.

I did disappoint a bunch of patients waiting for the ophthalmologist though!! Nope, not the Ophthal here!!!

Also: thought the package was quite funny! As if customs needs to know how the dress fits!

Doggy Prints - Who was looking for some?

I came across this cute little sweater today at Ruche: almost-weenie dogs with bow ties!!!

I am debating about if I can go this whimsical, but hey, will be cute with jeans.

PS: cute doggy story - One of the nurses I work with adopted a weenie dog from a rescue shelter, and the doggy's name is Limo! :)
